These are the upcoming changes you need to be aware of as an employer.


1st April 2019

On the 1st April 2019, the national minimum wage will increase from £7.83 to £8.12.

April 2019







6th April 2019

  • Statutory Sick Pay will increase to £94.25 per week
  • Employment tribunal award limits will increase
  • Requirement for payslips to state hours worked where pay varies
  • The lower earnings limit will also rise from £116.00 per week to £118.00.

7th April 2019

On the 7th April, Statutory Maternity and other family related pay will increase to £145.18, or 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings if this figure is less than the statutory rate.
